Panzo is a free 2D top-down tank game for Android. Every level is hand-built: enemy turrets guard the routes, tank patrols wake when you get close, and a single well-aimed shot into a barrel stack can clear a whole position. Drive, aim, shoot — nothing else to learn.

Left thumb drives, right thumb aims and fires. Choose a dynamic stick that appears wherever you touch, or fixed sticks pinned to the corners.

Every barrel fires 25 blast rays over a 3-metre radius and chains into its neighbours. Park a shot in the right stack and the whole enemy position goes up with it.

Roll across a laser gun or a rocket launcher and it is yours for the rest of the level — the laser doubles your rate of fire, the rocket doubles your punch.

Turrets sweep their arc and lock on the moment you enter range. Tank patrols path around cover, close to firing distance, hold — then walk home if you break contact.

Finish fast, finish untouched and finish with lives left for three stars. Medkits patch you up mid-fight; shields soak the next few hits.

The whole campaign runs on your phone. No account, no login, no connection needed — and it is light enough for older devices.
Each world has its own terrain, cover and enemy mix. Levels are scored out of three stars, and stars are the key to the next world.

You start every level with the standard gun. What you find on the floor decides how the fight goes.

Instant repair, capped at full health. Usually parked exactly where the shooting is worst.

A bubble that absorbs damage before it touches your health bar, with its own silver bar under it.

Destroyed with lives left? You come straight back into the fight instead of restarting the level.
Five enemy types, each with its own health, damage and behaviour. Clearing a level means destroying every one of them.

Sweeps its arc, locks on at about 6 tiles. The bread-and-butter guard post.

Out-ranges you at ~7 tiles and hits harder than anything else — but aims slowly. Strafe and close in.

Wakes at ~11 tiles, paths around cover, holds at ~5 tiles and shoots. Loses interest if you leave.

The bruiser. Slowest of the three, but the most health and the heaviest shell.

Fast and fast-firing. Comes at you first and keeps the pressure on while the heavies arrive.

Twice as fast as anything the enemy fields, which is the whole trick: back-pedal, circle, keep firing.
Real levels from the campaign, shown at the same zoom you play at.
Panzo was built thumbs-first, then given full gamepad support: plug in or pair a controller and the on-screen sticks step aside.
Two features are already built into the game and will be switched on in a coming update:
Five rarity tiers of tank paint — Default, Rare, Epic, Legendary and Mythic — plus team colours.
Arena deathmatch with a live kill feed and a scoreboard for kills, deaths and damage.
Rare Epic Legendary Mythic

Yes. The single-player campaign runs entirely on your device, so you can play on a plane, on the metro or with mobile data off.
More than 100 handcrafted levels across multiple worlds, with more in development. Each level is scored from one to three stars, and Green Valley unlocks once you have earned enough stars in Desert Storm.
Yes. Panzo supports Bluetooth and USB controllers: the left stick drives, the right stick aims and fires. Buttons are rebindable, stick deadzones are adjustable and vibration can be turned off.
English, Arabic, Hindi and Urdu, including full right-to-left layout for Arabic and Urdu.
Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or newer. It is a lightweight 2D game built on libGDX, so it runs smoothly on older and low-end phones too.
Online arena multiplayer is built and being tested, but it is not switched on in the public build yet. The current release is the single-player campaign.
100+ levels, no ads between them, no account to create. Just a tank, a gun and a lot of barrels.
